There are several writing your own resume. styles and format do not really matter; What matter is the way of writing, the sequence of the resume and a neat and proper presentation. Bottom line is, your resume can be as simple as the one that will follow here, but it should create the sequence of the resume is follows:
  • Name: It must be written in BLOCK (CAPITAL) LETTERS. Always write in a top where it can be immediately seen, so the employer can locate your name easily. Don't use any short name, for example, R.K Sinha. instead of Rajat Kumar Sinha. Always use the name written in your admit card or your valid certificates. A female candidate must write Ms./Mrs. Before there names, example Ms. Rekha Jain.male candidates need not write Mr/ Sri before their name.
  • Address: It should start with your name. Write the full postal address to ensure the safe delivery of letters. If necessary, please mention a landmark near to your place and if you have been allotted house a number, then specify it. Please do not mention any abbreviations like KOL instead of Kolkata, or GHY instead of Guwahati. House number, street number, etc should be clearly mentioned. Avoid address under post box number. In case you are likely to change your residential address in the near future separately, you may give an address for correspondence and permanent address. Normally only one address, where you can be communicated, must be given.
  • Date of Birth: This must be exactly the same as recorded in your "Matriculation Admit Card" or "school pass certificate". No other document relating to age like horoscope, Affidavits, birth certificates from Municipal Corporation and the like are accepted. Don't write your date of birth as '26 march 1990', rather write the date as '26-3-1990'. There is no need to write your zodiac sign and your "place of birth" along with your date of birth.
